RESPONSABILITIES
- Responsible for the conceptual design and development of scenography and spatial environments for high end event platforms which serve to enable stakeholder communities to engage in global thought leadership, community meeting and business transaction.
- Demonstrate fluidity and flair across the integrated design of event platforms including UX design planning and development in event architecture design with working knowledge in brand, information, wayfinding, materialism and finishing and production design
- Working within the creative team and in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams, you will responsible for event concepts and event interiors which go above and beyond, setting benchmarks for creativity
Demonstrate Design Leadership : Lead and inspire a team of designers, artists, and creatives to deliver innovative concepts and designs that push the boundaries of event experience.
Design Oversight: Provide guidance and direction throughout the design process, from initial sketches and mock-ups to final production, ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
Spatial Design: Lead the spatial design process for global events, including floor plans, layouts, and spatial configurations, ensuring optimal flow, functionality, and visual impact.
Interior Architecture: Design and oversee the architectural elements of event spaces, including structures, fixtures, and installations, to create cohesive and visually striking environments.
Materials & Finishes: Select and specify materials, finishes, and textures that enhance the aesthetic appeal and sensory experience of event spaces, considering durability, sustainability, and brand alignment.
Collaborative Planning: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including event producers, lighting designers, and AV specialists, to integrate spatial design elements seamlessly into overall event planning and execution.
Client Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their vision, objectives translating their needs into innovative spatial solutions that reflect their brand ethos and resonate with their target audience.
Prototyping & Mock-ups: Develop prototypes, mock-ups, and visualizations to communicate design concepts effectively, allowing for client feedback and iteration before final implementation.
Technical Expertise: Utilize your technical expertise in CAD software, 3D modeling, and rendering tools to create detailed drawings, renderings, and specifications for construction and fabrication.
Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks throughout the design and fabrication process, ensuring adherence to design intent, safety standards, and project timelines.
Vendor and Partner Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with external vendors, artists, and partners, sourcing unique talent and resources to enhance the creative output of our events.
Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and innovations in event design and production, integrating them into our creative approach to stay ahead of the curve.
PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, fine arts or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in a lead design role, with a focus on scenography, interior architecture, materials, finishes, and spatial environment design for business conferences and experiential events.
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing a diverse range of spatial design projects, including events, exhibitions, retail environments, or hospitality spaces.
- Expert level in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) and 3D modelling/rendering tools (e.g., 3ds Max, C4D, V-Ray)
- Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate client briefs into compelling creative solutions.
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods, with an emphasis on sustainability and environmental impact.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
- Strategic mindset with a keen understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and brand positioning.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities
- Must be able to communicate strongly in English with French advantageous.
- A working knowledge of sustainable design and design systems would be preferable.
