Position Overview:
We are looking for an Engineer (m/w/d) with a Civil Engineering background and fluency in German to engage with local engineering firms, contractors, and suppliers in the metal construction sector. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and language skills to build strong relationships, understand customer needs, and provide customized solutions to meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Sales Support: Provide in-depth technical expertise to clients and prospects in the civil and metal construction sectors. Advise on product specifications, technical solutions, and best practices.
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including engineering companies, contractors, and metal construction suppliers in the region.
- Project Management Support: Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure smooth execution of projects from initial consultation to delivery.
- Sales Strategy: Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and delivering presentations to prospective clients.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to adapt the sales strategy accordingly.
- Customer Support: Assist clients with product inquiries, technical questions, and troubleshooting during the sales process.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is a must
- Experience: Previous experience working in the metal construction industry or engineering office, particularly with engineering companies or metal construction suppliers. Experience in technical sales or support is highly preferred.
- Language: Fluent in German is a must and a good English
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction processes related to metal structures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude, able to work effectively with internal teams (engineering, project management, etc.) to deliver successful outcomes.
