Our client is a global leading player in the electronics industry.


Job description:


Reporting directly into the Division Director, this is an individual contributor role with responsibility for a product line that provides power electronics solutions (both hardware and software) for renewable energy projects in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) business segment.


The core responsibility as a Solution Manager is to analyse the C&I Swiss market and provide optimized solutions for end clients, distribution partners, engineering firms and installation partners.


The hired candidate will be responsible for the go-to-market of new products including the communication plan, the localization of documents and the training of partners and key customers.


The aim of the role is to increase the market share, by expanding the business and partnerships and entering into new markets. In brief, these would be the core tasks and responsibilities:


  • Obtain a good understanding of the market requirements based on standards and customer insights
  • Communication with the global product line to integrate the local requirements
  • Go-to-market of 2 to 4 new products (or upgrades of existing products) per year including a comprehensive go-to-market plan
  • Localisation of data sheets and documents to provide all important technical information to partners and customers
  • Training of the internal team, the distribution partners and key customers
  • Support biddings for large opportunities, prepare bills of material and quotations, maintain project documentation
  • Liaison to universities, industry partners and associations, contributing to standards and guidelines

The position can be either based in Zurich, Bern or Lausanne.


Candidate Profile:


  • At least 3 years experience in a technical sales or marketing position in the renewable energy industry
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical education
  • Good knowledge of industrial applications of power electronics, particularly in the fields of power conversion and energy storage
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and German. At least a French conversational level would be preferred.
