Our client, a global leader in materials science and technology, is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician (m/w/d) with a strong background in chemistry to join their innovative team. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical analyses, supporting research and development efforts, and maintaining high standards in laboratory operations. 


Your profile:



· Training as a laboratory technician, degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a relevant applied science


· Good problem-solving skills and ability to quickly become competent in an unfamiliar area of work


· Experience in polyurethane-based technologies or adhesive is advantageous


· Experience in the automotive industry and project management is advantageous.


· Excellent practical laboratory skills are preferred.


· Self-driven, motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of cross-functional collaboration for superior results


· Good verbal and written communication in German and English on all aspects of program activity, including demonstrated ability to make clear, persuasive, concise, and well-organized oral presentations


· Excellent time management skills and strong bias for action


· Must be able to work well in teams and to work independently with limited supervision


· Strong commitment to core safety values and best practices for safety including review of risk assessments, job safety analyses, standard operating procedures and MSDS


· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office as key requirement for documentation


Key Responsibilities:



· Independent mechanical performance testing and characterization of the adhesives according to automotive customer specifications


· Independent design of adhesive recipes under supervision of the project leader


· Support of manufacturing and support during the commercial launch of the technologies according to product commercialization processes.


· Operation of analytical devices


· Compliance with environmental health and safety best practices


· Conduct experiments and evaluations independently and as part of a team while exhibiting a strong commitment to safety at all levels


· Independent summary of results in laboratory reports / customer presentations in collaboration with the project leader


· Documentation of TS&D projects in agreement with TSR (Technical Service Report) Process


· Preparation of customer presentations in collaboration with the project leader


· Contribution to project stage gate meetings in agreement with product commercialization processes


· Direct customer contact and communication to enhance effectiveness of innovative product development for key customers in close collaboration with the account manager.
