For a well-established trading house in Switzerland, we are seeking an experienced Grains Trader specializing in the Black Sea region to expand their presence and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analysis on global trends for wheat, corn, barley, rapeseeds, soybeans, DDGS, and sunflower.
- Monitor price movements and supply-demand dynamics for these specific commodities.
- Execute purchase and sale transactions in both domestic and international markets.
- Negotiate contract terms including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and buyers.
- Implement and manage risk management strategies using derivatives, futures, and other financial instruments.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for timely and efficient movement of commodities.
- Maintain detailed records of trading activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in trading grains.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex market data.
- Proficiency in risk management techniques and financial instruments.
- Understanding of global grains markets, supply chain logistics, and regulatory environments.
- Proficiency in trading software, financial modeling, and market analysis tools.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
