Our client is a leading global biotech company committed to its promise of saving lives. With over 1,800 employees in Bern, we develop and distribute life-saving therapies for people with serious and rare diseases worldwide.
For our Bern site, we are looking for a Biology Laboratory Technician in the Microbiological Quality Control team for 6 months, starting beginning of July.
Your responsibilities :
- Independent performance, evaluation and documentation of microbiological analyses (including total microbial count determinations for in-process control (IPC) samples, water, disinfectants, cleaning validation samples and compressed air monitoring samples).
- Evaluation of air and surface microbial counts from environmental monitoring, as well as bioindicators from sterilization process qualifications and microbiological leak tests on primary packaging materials.
- Quality control of culture media.
- Quality control (incoming inspection) of bioindicators (strips, self-contained and ampoules)
- Collaboration in the maintenance of the test germ collection.
-Assist with method validations of new methods and perform general laboratory activities and administrative tasks in a GMP environment.
Your profile :
- Apprenticeship as a laboratory technician in a biological or medical field or comparable training and you preferably have experience in microbiological analysis.
- You are an upbeat and team-oriented person who is characterized by a very precise and reliable way of working and is willing to work max. 2x per month also on weekends.
- GMP knowledge is a great advantage, good computer skills.
- Very good knowledge of German (written and spoken) is required.
