Our client, a prestigious company with headquarters in Basel, is currently looking to expand their team. The whole IT department is internal. onsite in Switzerland, and has 150 members and growing. The environment is international and only English is necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, tune, and backup Oracle databases.
• Optimize resource utilization by analyzing and proposing database-level improvements.
• Perform recovery and troubleshooting at the 2nd level, including on-call service.
• Develop and implement automation solutions for database operations.
• Collaborate on the development and optimization of existing infrastructures and support migration projects.
• Participate in projects and plan technical tasks.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.
• 5 years of practical experience in Oracle DB engineering and operations.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL) and AIX is required.
• Knowledge of Postgres and MS SQL is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize issues.
• Willingness to take responsibility and work under pressure.
• Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus.
