Job Overview: As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT and production teams to ensure seamless network operations, troubleshoot issues, and improve network efficiency. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable network infrastructure to support manufacturing operations and corporate functions.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand network requirements and implement solutions.
Monitor network performance, analyze traffic, and identify areas for optimization.
Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
Participate in on-call rotation for network-related emergencies and provide after-hours support when needed.
Stay updated with the latest network technologies and trends to recommend and implement improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Experience with network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation ranges from $80,000- $130,000 depending on experience.
